A bowl or plate and utensils, a mug and reusable water bottle
Clothes for all kinds of weather. We generally experience hot summers, cold winters, and cool springs and autumns- but bring clothes for a broad spectrum of weather
Sunhat and sunscreen
Towel
Boots: there are sharp rocks and deep mud in some places.
Headlamp or Flashlight
Trash bag for your own waste. We operate along leave no trace guidelines- Bring out what you bring in! Even better bring out what was left behind by others, it is possible you will miss something as you pack out. Recycling bins and compost areas will be available on site.
A small basket or backpack to carry your essentials in such as water, an extra layer or snacks
Tick Gear: Repellents, Tweezers, Clove Oil and Hand Mirror: We recommend all natural sprays using essential oils for repellents, tweezers with pointed tips, clove essential oil for application to a potential tick bite site, and a hand mirror to check hard to reach spots. Ticks are a real hazard in the Hudson Valley, so please come prepared for prevention, precaution, and for removal.
Food for Mealtimes: If your experience does not provide meals, please come prepared with food that you know will nourish you. The High Falls Food Co-Op is 5 mins away for organic meals and snack items. Sharing and preparing meals with other attendees is encouraged!
