Wilderness

HSS is in part a wilderness. This is intentional. You may slip, trip, fall, things may fall on you. There are bears, coyotes, ticks (Lyme), ground hornets, poison ivy, and snakes. Even the bunnies, deer, and dogs, may kick, bite, and scratch depending on how you interact with them. By spending time here you are acknowledging these risks and taking full responsibility for your physical safety. Please be cautious and ask if you have questions.

Boundaries

We love that you are here and hope you enjoy your time with the land. If your plans change and you want to stay longer please ask. If you leave sooner please let us know. Please refer to the map on the other side of this page and be respectful of our neighbors and other guests. Unless otherwise indicated the house, sanctuary, and barn are not public spaces. The temple is available with an interest and an invitation.

Feelings and Expressions

We think all the feelings are important. A lot can be expressed and experienced here. Please be respectful and consensual around others. We welcome adults who can modulate their energy, negotiate their own limits, and tend to their inner child. By spending time here you are taking full responsibility for your emotional needs and safety. If these things are challenging paid private sessions are available by appointment. If it is not in the context of a workshop or a session, the degree of social engagement may vary greatly. Please be prepared for a solo or your-pod experience.

Social Etiquette

This is a body-positive, sex-positive, play-positive, gender fluid, sexually-oriented diverse, social justice, environment. This is also a call-in culture. If someone offends you or is not politically correct, please do not shame or ostracize, but engage with kindness, curiosity, and healthy boundaries. If you are overwhelmed please ask for help. This is also a clothing-optional place. Sometimes there are trainings or workshops where nakedness is not appropriate. We will let you know.

Clean

Generous people built, maintained, and cleaned this place for your enjoyment. Please leave it clean, put away, and well cared for so others will enjoy it too!

Emergencies

A first aid kit is located in the large outdoor kitchen with a list of local emergency clinics and hospitals. If you use the kit please let us know so we can restock it. If something is not working or looks dangerous please let us know! Even something as simple as water not running might be an urgent problem. Please text us at 917 887 9616 with this information.
